Michele Della Bella and Partners have expert knowledge and experience in all matters concerning Italian Immigration from obtaining visas (including non-EU and non-Schengen visas) and for all types of visas from temporary to long-term visas, work-permit/visas and family-related visas including family reunification.

Our Immigration Lawyers also are able to assist with more complex immigration matters from asylum to the recognition of refugee status and others who require international protection.

If you are seeking to obtain an Italian Residence Permit (Permesso di soggiorno) and for those who have lived in Italy for more than 5-years who are eligible for a Permanent Residence Card (Carta di soggiorno).

If you are planning to work in Italy and have an employer offer then you will need to obtain a work-permit (nulla osta al lavoro) which can be done by your employer.  Once they have received your nulla osta they will present it to you and you will connect with your consulate.  Once you receive the worl-permit you will need to obtain your visa (visto nazionale) at your local (“Sportello Unico per l’Immigrazione”).

For work visas for non-EU/EEA residents you will be subject to an annual quota unless you fall within the “highly-skilled workers” category to which no quota applies.

We are also able to help with family-related immigration issues such as family reunification and for those who have direct Italian parents or grandparents, to obtain hereditary immigration benefits.

All applications for immigration require working with the Italian State Police office (Questura).

We will work with you to set up the process including putting all of the necessary documents together, filling and filing the immigration forms and being represented in meetings with the Police and Immigration services as well as court if necessary.

We can also assist with Student Visas if you or your child wish to study abroad in Italy.  Our immigration attorneys can also assist with other visas such as those for religious purposes.
